QuietMax™ Usage & Adaptation Guide
What To Expect During Your First Nights
Let’s start with something most brands won’t tell you.
The first time you wear an anti-snoring mouthpiece, it may feel a little unusual.
That’s normal.
Your mouth is highly sensitive, and any new device — like a retainer or night guard — takes time to adjust to.
Some brands claim instant comfort, but most oral devices require a short adaptation period.
During the first few nights, QuietMax™ may feel slightly unfamiliar or a bit bulky. This simply means your mouth and jaw are adapting to a new position.
For most users, it starts to feel much more natural after just a few nights.
How QuietMax™ Works
QuietMax™ works using a principle used in many anti-snoring devices.
It gently holds the lower jaw slightly forward during sleep. This small adjustment helps keep the airway behind the tongue more open, allowing air to move through the throat more smoothly.
When airflow improves, the soft tissues in the airway are far less likely to vibrate — which is what causes snoring.
By supporting better airflow during sleep, QuietMax™ helps promote quieter breathing and more restful nights.
Why Your Mouth May Not Fully Close
When you first wear QuietMax™, you may notice your mouth doesn’t fully close.
That’s normal.
QuietMax™ gently holds your lower jaw slightly forward during sleep, so your lips may not seal as tightly as usual.
This forward position is how mandibular advancement mouthpieces help reduce snoring.
Some people ask:
“Why not make the mouthpiece smaller?”
Because a smaller device wouldn’t properly support the jaw or help keep the airway open.
The current design provides the stability needed for the mouthpiece to stay in place and work throughout the night.
What Results Should You Expect
Many users notice a significant reduction in snoring, sometimes within the first few nights.
For others, it may take a little longer as the mouth and jaw adjust to the device.
Based on user feedback, snoring is often reduced substantially — sometimes by 80–95% — though results can vary from person to person.
During the first few nights, mild jaw tightness or unfamiliar sensations can occur. This is a normal part of the adjustment process and usually improves as your mouth adapts.
With consistent use, most users find that snoring becomes much quieter and sleep feels more restful for both partners.
